The acclaimed singer-songwriter and vibrant stage presence will have no shortage of material with over 30 hit singles including 1983's chart topper "If You Only Knew," the 1985 smash "New Attitude," 1986’s duet with Michael McDonald "On My Own" and more recent hit "Somebody Loves You Baby.”  LaBelle’s performance is sure to be, like another of her hits, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

The Capitol Steps

Thursday, February 9– 8:00pm

Ticket Information

An Ocean Reef favorite, the celebrated Washington-based troupe returns this season to once again put the “mock” in democracy with hilarious musical parody that is always up to date and in step with the latest headlines. Originally consisting exclusively of Congressional staffers performing around the capitol, the troupe boasts more than 62 years of House and Senate experience, but now primarily employs professional actors and singers. The Capitol Steps have recorded more albums than the Constitution has amendments, including the latest Desperate Housemembers, and have been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, public radio and in venues all over the nation.  In fact, the Capitol Steps have performed for the last five presidents … “six, if you include Hillary,” according to the troupe. With musical political satire poking fun at all sides of the issues, it’s the one thing sure to earn bipartisan support.
